sometimes our 'openness' is just stupid

the statement today is something you say to nigel privately to get him to sort it out. not something you tell everyone, thus provoking a poisonous atmosphere on sunday.
perhaps it would have been like that on sunday anyway but we're turning into a car-crash football club. Back him or sack him were for me the only options, not this ridiculous last chance saloon.
the more i think of it, the more i reckon they were trying to provoke a resignation - not forthcoming cos Nigel ain't a quitter. unfortunately.
