Don't get me wrong its about bloody time *something* was done.
I just cant get my head round this.
Its clear that most if not all supporters now want him to go. I was quite a late convert to worthy out (ipswich and preston did it for me) so how many can be left now.
Given the bad feeling this won't just go away especially now the "outers" can scent blood.
It strikes me that given we're all speculating the players may now want to lose to get rid of him we're in danger of throwing good points after bad.
Why waste 2 more games if its inevitable ?
The other thing I don't get is this niceness business.
They were pretty damn ruthless with mike walker. His 2 signings were injured or barely fit (Fleming + Iwan) and he had a really weak squad with no money yet we played nice football, blooded some youngsters and won his last 2 home games 5-0 in a year his wife died of cancer. Now god forbid if a close family member dies you would hope your employer would give a little leeway......and yet Worthy seems able to hang on forever.
My conclusion is as posted below this is an invitation for job applications. Still I'd have just sacked him and put Hunter in charge to avoid the uncertainty and mixed insentives for the players/fans.
How many of the home crowd will be supporting Burnley now ?
Or maybe it was to force him to resign. After all I'd HATE to be him at the burnley match. If they go down it will be hummilliating for him to lose his job in front of the crowd and the sky cameras.
He should just resign now.
