Something doesn?t smell right..

So you?re on the board of a under achieving football club with results and performances well below expectations knowing a large percentage of your supporters want the manager removed as soon as possible. You have discussed the situation with your fellow directors in private over the previous few weeks and realise to do nothing is not an option.
The pressure is beginning to mount and although you have rescued the club in the past and are seen by some as having saint qualities you have to balance the cost of sacking your manager with the prospect of another season of mediocrity and no promotion to the promised land ? and just to add to the pressure there are those that are now beginning to point the finger in your direction..
So is the time right to issue a statement making it clear that the performances are nowhere near good enough and the manager must turn it round in just two games? ? or should you allow him one more roll of the dice.
Do you then give him permission to blow another large slice of player budget on a 37 year old and after your new signing, who has hardly had time to meet his new team mates let alone train with them, has played just 35 minutes of football issue your ultimatum.
I don?t think I would.
