The lino who gave the Newcastle goal today is a Toon fan apparently

Barry Sigmeuter (sp?) is the dad of a girl who went to school with my wife, up in Northallerton in the North East.

My wife seems to remember that he is / was a Newcastle fan - the town is pretty much split between Newcastle and Boro in terms of support, so either way he probably shouldn't have been officiating the match.
