"Three Championship managers have lost their jobs this week with Bryan Robson leaving West Bromwich Albion ?by mutual consent?, Queen's Park Rangers axing Gary Waddock and Leeds sacking Kevin Blackwell.
Sadly, I think it is a sign of the times - the way the game is going - if three bosses in the same division are gone before the end of September.
In the case of Leeds, I think it's absolutely ridiculous that you have a manager who has taken his club to the promotion play-off final four months ago, but then gets the sack eight matches into the new season. (PERHAPS KEN BATES AGREED WITH THE LEEDS FANS THAT THEY GOT INTO THE PLAY-OFFS PURELY BY LUCK AND THAT JUDGING BY BLACKWELL'S MANAGEMENT STYLE, THEY'D GET OFF TO A CRAP START)
It's a very na?ve way to look at the situation with so little of the season played. Leeds are only four points behind us going into the weekend fixtures and are 10 points behind Birmingham at the top. It's a ludicrous situation and the people who make decisions like this should examine their consciences.
Every club has their own way of dealing with things, but I believe continuity and stability are important in a football club. This club knows as well as any that constantly changing the manager is not the way to achieve success. I certainly do not lose sleep worrying over what tomorrow brings. (DO YOU GIVE A SH*T ABOUT THE FANS WHO ARE LOSING SLEEP OVER THE CRAP WE'VE SEEN THIS SEASON?)
I enjoy my work, love my job and give it my best shot every day. I give it everything I've got.
If you are constantly worrying over what might happen, you are not fully focused. You can't enjoy your work and give your best.
I am able to sleep at night with a clear conscience and what happens after that is up to other people."
