Is that she liked Hamilton, (being young myself at the time, I didn't think he was that bad either, his targets were genuine, he brought parker here, he tried to sign ashley cole on loan, vanazza wouldn't come, Ian Moore wouldn't come, the club didn't have the finance for Healy, so we got Notman, and various other crap on frees, mainly cos the money really wasn't there, not like Croft, Johanssons, Earnshaws, Crouchs of this world, managers before worthy dealt with awful options)
Despite that, a witchunt ensued on Hamilton, a bloke delia liked, to the point where the players joined in. He was forced out. To you, and the majority of others, that was the best day ever for norwich
In reality, after that day, Delia said they had learnt so many lessons from the whole episode, and would bode well for the future
At the time, fans thought that meant, the board agreed with the fans and players and would do in future
To me, in hindsight, that translated to, "we'll do it our way next time, and you lot won't have any say about it, cos you force us into doing something we didn't want to do"
THat sounds far fetched, but for me, is the reason why Worthingtons job is as safe as anything in football, and why he doesn't give a crap after any defeat
He is well in with the board, and there's nothing you and I can do about it, cos of the way Hamilton was dealt with
Only imo though
