My name is Doug, and I am a Worthy supporter

and thankyou for inviting me to this meeting of my local WA (Worthies Anonymous).
"And why are you here, Doug ?"
Well, to my shame, (shuffles feet, nervous cough) I used to believe that Worthington (cough) did a good job for the club. Sorry.
"What has changed ?"
Nothing, I suppose - except now I can see that it was the quality of players, and some good luck at the right time that carried the team to past glory. Not the manager. Now, when luck goes against us, he is unable to make the changes necessary to turn it around.
"What else ?"
He can only seem to attract either average to poor players, or the odd one who is good but is charmed by some old spiel about wonderful training facilities. And he seems to base training around running until you drop, followed by an exhaustive run and a cross country run to warm down. Skill and flair seem to have abandoned ship.
"So, how do you propose to deal with your problem of Worthy love ? "
I promise never to big him up again. And I remember the 80's when we wore badges saying Don't Blame Me - I Voted Labour, I will wear one saying Sorry, I helped Keep Worthington At NCFC.
"Thankyou. Now, who is next ?"
