I had assumed that Celtic found someone they fancied more than Celine, so didn't bother getting him back. At which point I imagine he started to think, f**k, better get me a job.

Either that, or you're right, and we offered more wedge a week than Celtic did, in which case I can kiss goodbye to my "OK as long as we're paying him peanuts" stance.
