The Judge kept saying below that there was no evidence.

There was loads of evidence. Trouble is, it was all circumstantial or hearsay, and therefore worthless.
Proving these allegations is very, very difficult because you need to either trace the cash or have the manager accepting the money on camera. They *nearly* did it, but, as you say, the guy backed out at the last moment.
The Redknapp bit was a joke and they shouldn't have included it, if that was all they had.
