Non footy/bung but heard an interesting thing about foreign doctors in UK last night

I hear a lot of complaining that foreign doctors are being brought into the NHS ahead of or to supplement British medical graduates and have often heard suggestions that their ability is inferior.

Well, Mrs. In Holland was looking into what she'd have to do to work in the UK once she's finished her Gynaecology specialisation. She knew there was a study course to follow and then exams to take but what she discovered this weekend was that the pass rate for foreign doctors trying to get accredited in the UK.was 10%. TEN percent !

So, safe to say next time you go to the hospital and have a foreign doctor, the bloke / woman certainly knows their stuff! In fact I'd be tempted to reject the British doctors since they don't have to take the same exams ;-)
