is that he always passes of things that go wrong as freakish bad luck and good occurrences as being teh normal state of things.

So the freakish luck we had with injuries (or lack of them) in 2003/4 is seen by Worthy as being normal.

The freakish luck in getting Crouch/Hucks that year and the way they ignited our season as seen by him as how loans normally pan out (ignoring the experience of almost all his other loans)

Our success in 2003/4 was the flukey exception to the rule, a one-off, but to Worthy it is perceived as quite normal because he thinks he's a genius - it is all the crap since has been just down to bizarre quirks of fate.
