palace view of game

Impressive today. But, in the interests of realism (and for those who didn't make it) it's only right to point out that we had very little to beat.

Norwich were as bad against us as we were against Southampton on Tuesday. They offered nothing - especially in the second half - and, as a result, our confidence, so badly dented in recent days, soon returned. Some of our lads looked like different players to those we saw at Luton and v the Saints.

A good performance - and the scoreline could have been much more flattering. And, yes, we showed a great deal of very pleasing character to bounce back. But the stern test I was expecting against a potential promotion rival failed to materialise at any stage.
