with modern rackets serve & volley is crap

ever since the big rackets came in grass court tennis became unbearable, especially in the later stages when only the big servers were left. No rallies whatsoever. However those same rackets saved clay court tennis, where previously it had been impossible to hit winners past a baseliner, leaving you with simple duels of attrition. For the last decade the French Open has produced FAR more exciting tennis than Wimbledon could dream of(can anyone remember a single Sampras final worth watching?) but now Wimbledon is catching up. Most baseliners now are great to watch, able to hit searing winners even past a opponent on the baseline. You can still serve & volley if you have a good serve - Henman can't any more because he now has a totally wuss serve
