Their laptop batteries have a built-in timer which basically turns them off after so many charges, even if there's nothing wrong with it (There are ways around it). However, if you have had it constantly plugged in, the battery will be toast anyway. You can probably pick up a cheap one on Ebay for a couple of bucks.
