Play will generally start around 12 midnight...

think the BBC want to show highlights in the run up to the following days play, so they can tease ahead to TMS coverage and their online service too... so yeah you're looking at the programme going out around 11pm or so.

The BBC are also bound by Sky (who they bought the terrestrial highlights package from), not to show highlights before Sky have done their day's highlights...so the Beeb's hands are tied somewhat.
