Governments practice these things all the time...

...and if they told us about every single possible threat they were aware of we'd never cross the street. They probably don't want to show what defences parts of the Pentagon has got (clearly now it will have rather more...), and re the crater, blast can do funny things, and there's plenty of people who've survived being very close to "very hot" for short periods. The jet fuel wouldn't have taken very long to burn off.

Not saying your version of events is necessarily wrong and the official version right - there's two sides to every story, and it's usually possible to explain any given series of events multiple ways. Just offering a counterpoint.

Where we do agree is re flight 93.
