In my opinion, he has every right to be a little bitter about the ridiculous rumours that were being spread about him last season, and although he's always struck me as having an ego that isn't justified by his ability (referring to himself in the 3rd person, etc), I don't think his desire to leave was that unreasonable, given that he's 28 and needs regular first-team football.

I'd never have described him as a legend, though, simply because he wasn't good enough. Amazing debut, not much else apart from when Ashton made him look twice as good as he actually was by opening up space for him. I begrudge Leon nothing, but wasn't really sorry to see him go either.

How's that for sitting on the fence?
