You think teams should allowed to take part in any competition for eternity if they win it (I think).

I believe seeding is fair because it ensures that groups are of equal strength (ok?).

I'm really not sure how I'm contradicting myself and why this is all irking you so. I promise you - you really are being a bit odd.
