it would be nice to see if he can do it against the "medium sized" boys, let alone the big ones.

I'm not suggesting for a moment that he can't but it is actually true that his England goals to date have come in:
a) Mickey Mouse friendlies; or
b) games against teams featuring prominently in the "Who's Nobody in World Football".

Or, in some cases, (Jamaica for instance) a combination of both.
