He's to provide cover and competition for Gallagher

We were also close to a deal for Carson to come on loan before he went to wherever he is now (Charlton?) but it didn't happen because they wanted to get Gallagher signed up first (and he wouldn't have signed if we had Carson here, he wanted to be the No.1)
