Local Nightlife Advice

I'm bringing my eldest up to the UEA on Saturday the 23rd.
Any ideas on good places to go in Norwich.
Any comedy clubs, pubs or nightclubs that are worth a visit?
Also, whats the best Indian in the city?
Any info greatly appreciated.
