Well, the females aren't anyway.

The middle space ISN'T protected when you're crossing a road, dumdums. The attack comes from the SIDE, not the front or rear. The ones with the best chances are those at the front (pick a clear moment) and the rear (can stop if anyone ahead gets hit).

So this means they're either thick, or they're sexist.
