I know the Leon episode was a great chance to have another pop at Worthington, Doncaster, the Board and anyone else associated with running the club (not NCISA) but I reckon that if you look at the final list of transfers there are some inter club links. City will buy from Bristol as long as Coventry buy from us whilst Wigan buy from Bristol with the money they got for two players sold to Sunderland. This seems to be repeated around the country. I wonder how many other non- Premiership clubs lost out to "big" clubs adding to their collection of promising players who will rarely get a game?
In our case the blame is probably on Nial Quinn who took over Sunderland, appointed a super star manager and went on a shopping frenzy
