?2.5 million for Kuqi is probably excessive and I understand why we would not be interested given that he may not even be first choice.
But I just won't have it thatnour squad is any other position than hanging by a thread. We are at the mercy of injuries to three or four players and to lose two left backs (inc Brennan), two goalkeepers, acentral midfielder and a striker - replacing them with a right winger - is truly, truly bizarre.
These would be the actions of a manager who needed to prune his squad, who needed to reduce numbers in a squad of, say, 35.
But we were small to start with and despite protestations that we were in the market for players, we have ended with nothing (bar Croft). That looks like rank bad planning to me. Can you honestly say otherwise?
Everyone talks up the loan market - but what a volatile and erratic way to deal with injuries! Having to take part in lengthy transactions merely to fill the team sheet? Alarming.
