paying money to mediocre players to sit on the bench.

Our squad is quite big enough when (like now) the players are fit.

If that changes due to injuries then I'm sure we'll use the loan market so the squad size will increase as necessary. That way we'll only be paying backups when we need them, and can afford to spend more (per week) on them. Which means they should be higher quality (what sort of players are going to be happy to come here permanently as backups???)
