Well my take on last night's shambles is that there are at least a few things to be grateful for.
The worrying thing is how inept we seem to be at transfer dealings and how we never seem to have enough
transfer targets. One thing that never ceases to amaze me (and I joked about it last week) is that worthy
never sees a problem for aeons then once he sees it tries to sign every available player in that position.
Hence last season's glut of right backs. We will miss leon as he was a good championship playerbut has revealed
himself to be a grade A cnut. Francis all over again, all I can say is thank God we didn't sign Clinton Morrisson.
The injury situation is now perillous. If earnie breaks his league in Prague we're in such trouble it doesn't bear thinking about.
The plus points are that we won't disrupt a winning team. Bigger than that though Worthington and the board
seem prepared both to push the boat out a little AND most importantly to invest in promising youngsters rather
than mediocre 29 year olds.
I just wish we'd looked for a 19/20 year old left back too. We should be scouring the youth teams of England Wales
Scotland etc looking for players we could snap up.
Another plus is that personally I think Jarvis and Henderson *might* be good enough if given a chance. I'd rather
see one of them come on for Earnie than Dele Adebola or someone.
