given that we currently have a settled and apparently successful side, what sort of player are you going to get to come here just to be a backup? A: you are almost certainly going to get someone pretty sh*t.
Our only real chance of getting someone decent to come is if they think they are likely to play a lot i.e. if one of our main players gets injured. At which point I assume we'll hit the loan market.

Until then we don't really need anyone, with one rather sizeable exception: what happens if we want to switch to 4-4-2 at any point in a game, with 2 central strikers? We are looking at Thorne or Jarvis, neither of whom frankly inspires much confidence at the moment. The bench looks pretty thin. So we are VERY dependent on Earnie, Hucks & Croft. Let's hope they can keep producing the goods...
