why though?...

swearing is part and parcel of the passion of football. If a referee can't handle that then he really should not be a ref in the first place. Who wants to see 9 players a side at the end of 90 mins which is what it would be if its a red card for swearing? obviously if you call the ref a "c**t" or something that should be punished, I just think we are going way over the top with all this discipline bollox!
