You're trying to pick holes in his argument, yet yours holds no water...

...you are comparing a s**t season in the middle of Worthy's tenure to the first (and only) season Hamilton had in charge.
Worthy's first full season (and the end of the season before) was vastly better than Hamilton's, therefore he stayed and Hammy didn't - plus the point about the player's not wanting him IS valid.
People are saying "give him a chance" as you say, because he won this league the last time we were in it (prior to last season) - WHICH IS INCREDIBLY VALID!

Had he had last season as his first in charge, then you'd have a point comparing him to Hammy, as he didn't: you haven't.
