Lovely to see us all fighting amongst ourselves again!
At the low points last season, I was amongst those questioning whether or not we needed a new manager. Didn't go to any protests but was alarmed at the way the club seemed to be going.
For what seems to be a variety of reasons, things have -thus far- this season been improved substantially. However, we won 5 on the trot over Christmas last year, no-one was suggesting a renaissance then, and, indeed, it wasn't one.
Similarly, after many months of bad performances last season, people were openly saying "you can't condemn the manager over one bad season" -ignoring the fact that the previous one had been pretty grim as well (ie) we'd been relegated. So why this seasons good start, by definition, means that all is well, using that logic, means you most certainly cannot judge things by that either.
For my part, I'm delighted with the start. It seems to me, as many have suggested, that MH is overseeing training and tactics, with NW having more of an overall input as Manager (ie) looking out for and after the interests of the club on a large scale. Which is how things are done with a lot of the major continental clubs.
I think his appearing in a suit this season is very symbolic of that!
What is important, I think, is that we all find some common ground (ie) we all support and love this club. We may have differences but who doesn't? It would be nice to accept each others point of view but, at the end of the proverbial, support and cherish our club for all that its worth. Its not nice to see the sniping and abuse, it wasn't last season, and it isn't this, as we all, seemingly, engage in one upmanship.
We're doing well at the moment. Lets enjoy it not dissect the reasons why.
