have done! its worked for months, in fact never bother unplugging the usb hub, leave printer and external hard drive plugged it, normalyy when i run the thing up in the morning it recognizes both - now only the printer. Tried unplugging external hard-drive and re booting, then plugging in but laptop doesnt recognize it. also tried unplugging entire card with printer and external hard drive cables on it and rebooting, only recognizes printer.
