ok cool..........

nope, not wireless, sytem set up as follows:

crappy dell works laptop!

one usb port at the back, used for broad band connection.

slot at side of laptop which takes a belkin usb hub (credit card with two usb ports on it)

one usb port used for printer (works fine), the other used for external hard-drive connection.

when i right click on start and look at files, can normally see external hard drive on something like E: drive, always been able to veiw whats in that external drive from there, click and drag files etc to/from.

For some reason it doesnt show up as any drive, theres no "E: drive" any more. Thought it might be power, but on running up laptop can see the little external hard drive light flicker as its being read, but then it goes out and i cant see anything!
