From what i heard

we were always in with a bid, it was brighton, then us, then scum and now Palace.

Brighton bid 250, we went 400, then scum 700, we matched that and then Palace offered 750 rising to ?1m according to Swindon site

I've never read we had denied 'an interest' which means we had a bid in.
