Interesting interview with ref Howard Webb on BBC site (sorry don't know how to link) he

is just about the best Premiership Referee, I reckon. Took charge when we beat Man United 2 - 0 and didn't give a foul when Saf robbed Rooney for the first (I think) goal - most other officials would have given it. Still reckon referees are too matey with the glamour players, though. If it's a 50 / 50 challenge between someone you know quite well and someone you don't know and who is new to the top flight, who are you going to award it to? The bloke you meet three or four times a season or the bloke you've never seen in your life?
