After watching us at Derby on Saturday (warning - long post)

I was disappointed and will be very interested to see what Richard Balls thought after his appeal for more forthright away performances. Honestly I do not think it was a satisfactory performance.

Just because it was better than some of last years appallling away days does not ean we should celebrate or think Worthy has turned things around. Derby were very poor indeed. they lost their key defender (Moore) early, yet we didn't manage a single shot on target.

We have a problem in that many supporters only compare things within the Worthngton era. If we look back further we can recognise that our ambitions are pretty mediocre. We have to go to places like Derby and WIN, not celebrate sterile efforts.

I have said it before; Worthington was a dull player, schooled in dull football by his dull mentor and he is a perfectly pleasant but dull gentleman. hence we get dull football which merits 7 seconds on Sunday's highlights programme. I was bored watching the game. What a sad thing to say!

I admire the KTF brigade and I fully understand them crowing a little after our satisfactory (no more!) start but I honestly believe that only a change of manager will see Norwich City consistently playing exciting football home and away. We could get in the play-offs this year but even if we did and went up we would struggle again just as we did last time because our manager is tactically naive and lacks the necessary imagination and flair to do a Boothroyd or a Warnock. He's a nice guy but....

I am now resigned to the fact that he will hold on to his job. Good luck to him..he knows how to do that and how to keep the board on his side. He will not bankrupt the club, we will continue as we are and I will always have a respectable team to support.

But, alas, it's just oh so dull!
