With the statement, I think it's right.

As I said, batting averages for all positions have consistently increased. This clearly shows the balance of the game has moved in favour of the batsmen. This is true for all batsmen not just the top order. It is also true at grass roots level where fewer weekend league games end in results.

Given that, I would, when combined with the difficulties of applying Law 42, look to have it change if I was in a position to do so.
