Get round to the North of the city, lots of beautiful hidden restaurants and you feel like you're 100 miles from the nearest American.

It really is one of the most amazing places you will ever see. What seem like thousands of little courtyards and different walks, some of which feel like they have been unseen for decades!

Just don't do the gondolas and don't eat in St Mark's square. Absolute mugs game and you'll be on beans on toast for months afterwards! Prices very reasonable if you hunt around.
