Towards the end of the home leg when Bayern were looking for their second goal, City broke away and Akinbiyi was the lone City player left up the pitch. He chased a long ball (hoofs weren't allowed then) from defence and was given offside, decision looked very suspect at the time.

On TV it was shown he was around three yards inside our own half when the ball was passed to him !

Didn't make any difference to the result - he would have never scored......
