My point was that YOU were complaining about upsetting the team's continuity and then suggesting we should do the very thing that would disrupt it the most i.e. mixing first teamers and backups.

The only non-disruptive courses are either no changes or all changes.
If you want no disruption and to win the game (as you suggest) you surely have to suggest putting the whole first team out there? You can't have it both ways. What is your priority? Winning the game (mix first team/backups) or preserving continuity (put all backups in)? Or both equally (put whole first team in) ?
