Your understanding of the laws of cricket is somewhat wrong.

Under 21.3.1, a refusal to play will lead to the match being awarded to the opposition.

Under 21.3.2, the umpires are required to ascertain whether an action is a refusal to play. If so, they are required to inform the captain that continuation will be deemed as refusal and the match shall be awarded under 21.3.1.

Under 21.10, after the officials have checked the scores the umpires cannot alter a decision on the result of the match.
