Power Struggle

I have been watching the events unfold at Carow Road over the summer and the early part of the campaign.

Like many fans, I have been somewhat perplexed by our lack of signings, especially when Worthington admitted the ?600K on Croft had blown the transfer budget. Soon after, ND felt compelled to plead poverty on behalf of the club in the local press.

Now Worthy has come out and said he would like to start spending the Greeno cash asap. Again, he chose his moment and I wonder how long it will be before ND has another piece in the EEN saying how the deal was structured would mean not funds not being available straight away.

I have a theory about this - ND now has a place on the Board which has strengthened his hand. Worthy is using his old tactic of using the press to further his case. We will know who has won this round after 31 August.
