CITY AGREE GREEN DEAL WITH WEST HAM
NORWICH City have agreed a deal with West Ham United to sell them goalkeeper Robert Green.
The deal could be worth up to ?2m, but the transfer is subject to Green agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
City revealed yesterday they were in talks with Charlton Athletic with regards to a move for the England 'keeper.
But it now looks more likely the City youth product is bound for Upton Park.
Green, 26, made 241 appearances (one as a substitute) for the Canaries after his debut against Ipswich Town in 1999. He became only the sixth Norwich City player to be capped for England when he appeared as a substitute against Colombia in June 2005.
He was also named as one of three 'keepers travelling to Germany in the World Cup finals this summer, but had his dream wrecked when he ruptured his groin in the warm-up match with Belarus.
Green is still recovering from that injury and has not played this season, although he has now returned to light training.
