Maybe I'm being a bit harsh but

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh but I always get the feeling that he pretends to overlap but atcually he does not want the ball. He hides behind the man with the ball and he never actually offers for it. This was the case as you state yesterday and hence he got caught in no mans land.
