Shearer was a lot faster than Ashton was at his age

When Shearer lost his pace, he had to learn and develop other areas of his game, to continue to play at the highest level.

Obviously there are allways exceptions to the rule (Sheringham, Bergkamp etc) But Ashton just blows to hot and cold for me, one game he can look like an awesome young premiership striker the next game he looks like an overweight, oaf like, penguin
