not really. If it was just the shelves, the bit with the Stoke game missing might be

underneath, so noone would really notice. Even if it was on the top side of the shelf rather than the flat underside, there is a strong likelihood it would be obscured by a can of peach halves or a slightly hard puddle of Bovril.

If you did the whole room, there is every chance that the missing fixture would be blatantly obvious to all but the most spastic-handed of guests.
