over-hyped, of course. but that's part of the problem.

there's not many major sports where we've had someone consistently in the top ten in the world. Compare it to golf for example - I doubt we've got any there at the moment. And yet all our golfers don't get consistently slagged for not being number 1.

His problem is that there's basically been no-one else anywhere near as good, or for years beforehand. Again, not a reflection on him - just on our crap tennis system.
