Wrong - there was a military reason re the atomic bombing of Japan

While many lives were effected by the atomic bombing theres a logic case that by dropping THE BOMB(s) it saved far greater numbers of Allied and Japanese lives by avoiding opposed landings in the bigger islands of Japan.

The bombing of Dresden, which I believe was a rail hub was more of a favour to the Russians. I dont know enough to say that the bombing of the rail hub was of strategic importance.
