Japan was days away from surrendering and posed absolutely no aggressive threat to Russia, America or China. Hiroshima was purely a statement that founded the basis for Truman's atom-dollar diplomacy which undoubtedly can be seen as the key factor in the development of the Cold War. That Truman and Churchill were never tried for war crimes is a great injustice.
