At the end of the day it's the player who has the power.
If we make our interest known, and the player wants to come it's then up to their board to get as much money out of us as possible. However, their bargaining hand is forced if the players wants to leave.
Of course, if the player is happy to stay it's unlikely we'd get him for a price that isn't over the odds.
I didn't mean it to sound like it's easy to get players on-board that are good young players with potential, but surely there are players of similar potential abroad that aren't particularly expensive?
I know Colin has by no means proved himself yet, but if he continues to play the way he has for the first 2 games of this season, he looks a bargain for ?262k.
There are players out there, we just need to find them.
