On the subject of City's finances...

For those that didn't read the Canary Chat with ND last week, he stated that the club have spent ?64m on players in 7 years, and received ?21m for players in the same time period.

I know wages, agents' fees etc. will take up a significant proportion of that expenditure, but surely these figures go a long way to show why the board should have an influence in who the club buy.

Players such as Dean Ashton, Craig Bellamy, Darren Eadie have earnt the club a large amount of money, but who else has? We've signed scores of aging players who don't even look like having a re-sale value let alone a significant one.

The Lee Crofts of this world are the players we need to look for. Youngsters with potential who will improve with games, and earn the club a decent amount of compensation when they eventually leave.

Surely the board realise that a good business has a great deal to do with what assets it has. Players are assets, so why not take a calculated gamble on players that will likely increase in value (barring injury or bad luck).

Freddie Eastwood, Greg Halford and other such prospects can surely be persuaded to play for a club like us?
